Hitler Poster # 1137
Perhaps one of the most famous portraits of Adolf Hitler to emerge from the Third Reich is the "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer" poster (One People, One Reich, One Leader), featuring a defiant, determined, and assertive Hitler. He much preferred the understated look and wore the simple party tunic/ armband prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. (it should be remembered that while his subordinates were prone to embellishing their uniforms with numerous awards and medals, Hitler chose to wear only his Golden Party Badge, and the Iron Cross and Wound Badge he earned in battle during the First World War).
The slogan, "One People, One Reich, One Leader" was very much in keeping with the class-less community the National Socialists were trying to cultivate, along with the return of the Nordic communities in and around Germany back into the Reich. As striking an image today as it was 70 years ago with its colors as vibrant as the day it was printed, this will instantly provide a dramatic addition to your study.
The poster is approx. 16 1/2 X 23 (42 X 59 cm) and the post war frame is 18 1/2 X 24 1/2 inches (47 X 62.5 cm).
Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fuhrer; a very famous poster and rare poster to find in this condition! Slight folds as shown, but displays well.
