Adolf Hitler Medallion in GOLD # 1203
Adolf Hitler Medallion in GOLD # 1203
Extremely rare Hitler Medallion in real GOLD.
C-34 in the Colbert-Hyder book.
Front features bust of Hitler facing right (this bust also used as image on C-31). The outer inscription reads, "REICHSKANZLER AD HITLER" or "Chancellor AD Hitler." The artist's signature, "K. GOETZ, " can be found beneath the bust.
Reverse features a Storm Trooper standing holding both the Nazi banner and the black-white-red flag. In the field are the dates, "5. MARZ," "12. MARZ," AND "1933." The inscription proclaims the NSDAP slogan, "DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE" OR "Germnay Awake."
NOTE: This is the early strike of this Goetz medal with the abbreviated Adolf as "AD". The NSDAP objected to the medal because this abbreviation of "AD" was commonly used for "retired". The medal's release was halted until it was redesigned to "ADOLF". The vast majority of these medals were issued as "ADOLF", making this one even more rare.
36mm in GOLD.
