Rare Model 1944 Cotton Drill SS Camouflage Tunic. One of the most eagerly sought after tunics produced during the Third Reich. This is a four pocket tunic made of a cotton frill material. It has the tan bevo tropical SS eagle on the left sleeve. This is nicely machine applied with a zig-zag stitch and is original to the tunic. This cotton material is much more difficult to find than the standard HBT material. It has gray steel pebbled buttons which are all intact and original to the tunic. The interior has the partial grey rayon HBT lining. This includes reinforcement under the armpits, around the sleeve entrance, and along the side seems. The loops for the belt hooks and the bandage pocket are also in the grey HBT rayon fabric. It is nicely marked on the lining under the right armpit. These markings are in black ink and include "Betr. Ra", indicating it was issued out of Ravensberg. Markings also include 5 sets of numbers, as shown. The rest of the lining is in the brushed tan cotton material.
