Dr. Wilhelm Frick (1877-1946), Reichsleiter, one of the first NSDAP members in the Reichstag, a lawyer, a personal friend of Hitler in the early years of the struggle for power. Born March 12, 1877 in Alzentse in the family of a school teacher. Appointed Reich Minister of the Interior upon Hitler coming to power, he was instrumental in the consolidation of power by the NSDAP.
This dedicated signed portrait of him was given to Deputy Gauleiter on 1944 and reads, "PG Gauleiter-Stellvertretender Stangier zum freundlichen fascinierung 14. Januar 1944" or "Deputy Gauleiter Stangler with friendly admiration ". Peter Stangier was Deputy Gauleiter in the Gau of Westfalen-Nord from Aug.1931 to 1945 and served under Gauleiter Alfred Meyer.
The portrait is approx. 6 3/4" X 9 1/4 " mounted an a parchment paper, which measures approx. 10" X 14 1/2".
