Deutschland Erwache Standarte Reproduction # 1376
Deutschland Erwache Standarte Reproduction # 1376
This item truly pulls a collection room together. Granted, it is a reproduction, but I - for one - do not have an extra 1/4 million dollars to acquire an original. These replicas are extremely difficult to come by. The original manufacturer (Mike Warren had them produced overseas) has long since stopped producing these. This one has had three owners and is still in great shape. Here is your chance to own the most recognizable and awe-inspiring symbols of the Third Reich. The photos should tell all. "Deutschland Erwache" cloth standard, embroidered lettering w/silver stitched swastika and swastika border also has the "pole guard" on the reverse side...small rectangular patch of leather.I believe pole (2 section, threaded, with impressive turned brass top which fits into town box base) and cross pole are teak.Multi-piece construction town box. Red enamel surrounded N.S.D.A.P. on reverse, Adolf Hitler on forward, surrounded by black enamel.Heavy cast wreath and swastika, impressive laurel/oak wrapping, note: marked - as the originals - the maker stamp on the back of the neck of the wreath OTTO GAHR 1933.Bronze eagle on top has threaded brass bolts that run through the wreath and are secured by tiny brass nuts (which have been ground quite flush).Includes OD canvas "oil cloth" all-weather transport cover and leather, buckle-strapped silver-bouillon parade/presentation style bandoleer. The entire set is VERY impressive and sure to be the initial point of focus in any "war room".(Deutschland Erwache Standarte Reproduction)
