Kreis Embroidered Visor # 3269
Kreis Embroidered Visor # 3269
For your consideration, a final pattern Kreis visor introduced for wear in 1939 and used until the fall of the Reich. The final pattern Kreis visor is recognized by the white piping, replacing the black piping that had been used up until this time. While the condition and shape on this example are supreme, the highlight of this specimen is the elaborate direct embroidered wreath. An expensive and uncommon upgrade at the time, these are rarely found today. This visor was unquestionably worn, yet remains in a stunning state of preservation. If your NSDAP or headgear collection is lacking representation of this genre, you will not find a better example anywhere. A true first class piece. RZM tag indicates maker Clemens Wagner.
Nice shape to visor, only defect is crack in one area of sweatband.
Of note: The embroidered wreath on the visor was expected to be
complimented with the embroidered collar tabs of the corresponding
tunic.
