RAD Communications Patch # 3107
RAD Communications Patch # 3107
This is a very nice and actually scarcely encountered Officers' version of a RAD sleeve badge (or: 'Dienststellenabzeichen'), bearing the scarcely seen specialist-signification: 'M' 'Hauptmeldebeambter' (or senior communication official), in overall very nice condition. These badges were worn on the left sleeve of the mustard coloured (officers type) RAD-tunics and/or garments. The badge which shows a red-coloured Roman-style, capital 'M' is neatly executed in so-called 'flat-wire' like 'BeVo' weave technique and was as such intended for an officer within a communications detachment. The piece was never folded nor trimmed as to be expected and simply cannot be upgraded. The badge is maker marked and displays the interwoven so-called: 'Ges.Gesch.' make, as often found on RAD cloth badges and/or insignia. It should be noted that all RAD officers'-type badges are comparatively scarcely encountered! German Militaria(RAD Communications Patch)
