Robert Hassenfratz was a French Volksdeutch who lived in the town of Hagenau in the Provence of Alsace and Lorraine. He was born 23 June 1909 , married with 3 children of Catholic faith, father Micheal was a farmer died 1934 , and mother Josephine was still alive. He was a carpenter, joiner, cabinet maker by trade.He was a Franzoesiche Wehrmacht " thus a Malgre- nous or ' against our will' soldier. Thus was a pressed into the German Army tactic used by the Germans starting in August of 1942. He was pressed into service 26 February 1944. There were only a 100,000 Alsaciens and about 70,000 Lorrainers as a population goes. Thus, the narrow field of service able men were rather small. Included with a felpost card and a postkart that belonged to him. This is a very interesting, and rare Wehrpass!
