Waffenrock der Infantrie # 8266
Waffenrock der Infantrie # 8266
Beautiful M40 Waffenrock for a Gefrieter (private 1st class) soldier of the 50th Infantry Regiment. The 50th was raised 15.10.1935 Landsberg an der Warthe , and was attached to the 3rd Infantry Division. From 06.11.1940 - 15.10.1942 was attached to the 111th Infantry Division. On 15.10.1942 the regiment was disbanded, and turned into the 50th Grenadier Regiment. This is an unusual example for it has the metal unit cyphers as opposed to the standard embroidered type. A rare example of a EM Waffenrock. Medals period and included.
