6665 Rare Wehrpass !Albin Bergert, served in both World Wars Born in the district of Einsiedel of Chemnitz on 4-5-1896, married no children, and was a baker by civilian occupation of evangelical faith. Albert was called up to serve in WW1 in 1916 and served in the Reich Marine of the Imperial Navy as a radio Operator. He was discharged of service in 1918, and was awarded the 1914-1918 Honor Cross for Combatants ( Hindenburg Cross) . 29-09-38 he was called up for duty  this was the time frame of the Sudetenland Crisis . He received a good conduct letter from his service 29-09-38 - 22-10-38. His Troop ID card was issued 30-09-38 for his station. He served from 1938-43 at served on a handful of duty assignments and one offensive campaign.1 Feb 1940 promotion to funkerhauptgefrieter ( senior private )1 Apr 1940 changed military occupation career IV fk ( radioman ) to IVB ( radio observation service)1 Aug 1940 promotion to Funkmaat1 Apr 1941 promotion to Oberfunkmaat ) Junior Petty Officer RankThis set has his WW1 pass riveted to his WW2 Wehrpas plus his Truppe ID card and good conduct papers . This is a very nice and rarer grouping due to the KM being such a small branch of the Wehrmacht.
