Awards and Decorations Received by the Hitler Himself

Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party and he was a powerful dictator in the 20th century. He initiated World War II in Europe in September 1939 and Nazi forces occupied much of Europe. But when the war turned against him, he committed suicide in April 1945. Adolf Hitler received many awards, decorations, and badges during his life.

Below are the awards and decorations received by the Hitler Himself:


1. World War I:

Adolf Hitler went to Munich in 1913 where World War I gave his life a direction and a cause to which he could commit himself. He was a brave soldier and here are the military rewards he received himself in World War I:

    1. Iron Cross 1st Class (Received by Adolf Hitler on 4 Aug in 1918)

    2. Iron Cross 2nd Class (Received by Adolf Hitler on 12 Feb in 1915)

    3. Bavarian Medal of Military Service 3rd Class (Received on 25 Aug 1918)

    4. Bavarian Cross of Military Merit 3rd Class with Swords (Received on 17 Sep 1917)

    5. Regimental Diploma (Received by Adolf Hitler on 5 May in 1918)

    6. Wound Badge in Black (Received by Adolf Hitler on 18 May in 1918)

    7. Cross of Honor with Swords (Received by Adolf Hitler on 13 Jul in 1934)


2. World War II:

Adolf Hitler’s invasion of Poland in September 1939 initiated the beginning of World War II. These are the medals and badges he received due to World War II:

     1. Anschluss Medal

     2. Sudetenland Medal

     3. Memel Medal

     4. West Wall Medal

     5. Wound Badge


3. Nazi Party:
