The beautiful board game comes packaged in a 9 x 12-1/2 inch box with complete original 4-page instructions, the appropriate quantity of blue and red aircraft game pieces and the dice necessary for two players to play the game. It was produced by Verlag Hugo Gräfe of Dresden and originally cost RM 3.30.
The heavy chipboard original game board unfolds to a size of 17 x 24 inches and depicts the routes of enemy bombers over important industrial and military targets surrounded by Flak or anti-aircraft batteries, and anti-aircraft balloons.
This is a wonderful example of a Third Reich children's military game in splendid original condition.
Adler (Eagle) magazine was the publication of the Nazi Luftwaffe during the Third Reich. The magazine was also behind the design and marketing of this game, Adler-Luftverteidigungsspiel (Eagle Air Defense Game).
