Ortsgruppenleiter der NSDAP # 5170
Ortsgruppenleiter der NSDAP # 5170
Small enamel sign posted on the residence of the Ortsgruppenleiter. The Orts level was the smallest, most personal level in the NSDAP Party structure. The Ortsgruppenleiter, or Local Group Leader, was responsible for the small town or community where he resided, and was expected to know each of the Party members he represented personally. One of the more interesting positions to research, as these leaders were expected to make sure monthly Party dues were paid punctually by the members in his area, and to keep the morale of the population up when the borders of the Reich began receding at the war's peak. 3.25 X 5.5 inches in size, making it easy to display, and correctly RZM marked to the reverse. This is the nicest now I have owned.
