Mother's Cross Document # 5102
Mother's Cross Document # 5102
Award document for the Mother's Cross 2nd Degree (Silver), with standard facsimile (printed) signatures of Hitler and Meissner. Unique due to the incredibly late award date of May 20, 1945 (12 days after Germany's surrender and 3 days before the arrest of the brief Dönitz interim government.) Many Nazi awards continued to be issued after the war, but most were de-nazified. This document was issued in its original form with Hitler's name and the large eagle emblem at the top and the blind-embossed eagle & swastika seal at the lower left still intact.
