Hitler'ss Reichsparteitag 1935 Medal # 1191
This example of C-84 belonged to Adolf Hitler and was taken from his Munich apartment by Frau Winter; later sold by her along with several other items in a German auction (1971). The auction paper work and documentation for that German auction and the subsequent Mohawk auction (1977) are included. The previous owner had this encased in plastic as shown.
The front of the medallion is full faced bust of Hitler flanked by busts of a SA man and a steel helmeted soldier. Above the 3 conjoined busts is the eagle and swastika. The legend along the lower rim reads, " Reichsparteitag 1935" or "Empire's Party Day 1935". The medal is hallmarked below Hitler'ss bust, "RK" (Richard Klein)
Reverse inscription reads, "Nuremberg/10-16. / September/1935" or "Nuremberg-September 10th through 16th, 1935". The medal is hallmarked along the lower edge, "Deschler Munchen".
Gold finish, 50mm.
